Pregnancy and Postpartum Care

Support for Your Changing Body

Pregnancy is a time of incredible transformation. As your body changes daily, new aches, pains, and discomforts can arise. I provide expert pelvic floor physical therapy to help you stay strong, comfortable, and prepared for birth. Whether you’re experiencing back or pelvic pain, pressure, or other discomforts, we’ll work together to keep you feeling your best.

The Benefits of Prenatal Care

When we start working together during pregnancy, we focus on:

  • Addressing pain and discomfort as your body changes

  • Improving mobility and strength for an easier pregnancy and delivery

  • Preparing your pelvic floor for birth and postpartum recovery

By building a strong foundation during pregnancy, you’ll often need fewer visits postpartum, making recovery smoother and more manageable.

Birth Preparation for an Easier Delivery

A well-prepared pelvic floor can help optimize labor and reduce the risk of tearing. My birth prep approach includes:

  • Perineal stretching & relaxation techniques to improve tissue mobility and reduce tearing risk

  • Pelvic floor coordination training to help you push effectively and minimize strain

  • Labor and delivery positions tailored to your body for optimal baby positioning and reduced discomfort

  • Breathwork and mindfulness strategies to stay relaxed and present during labor

  • Partner & support person training on how to assist with positioning, pain relief techniques, and hands-on support to help you feel more comfortable and empowered during labor.

These techniques can lead to a smoother delivery and a more supported recovery postpartum.

Postpartum Recovery & Healing—At Any Stage of Life

Your postpartum journey is unique, and whether you had a vaginal or C-section birth, your body deserves care. If we worked together during pregnancy, I already understand your body’s needs, which allows us to focus on recovery efficiently.

My postpartum care includes:

  • In-home sessions between 2-4 weeks postpartum to support you in the early stages of parenthood, addressing pain, mobility, and pelvic health concerns.

  • A 6-week check-in to assess pelvic floor healing, optimize recovery, and guide you in safely resuming movement.

  • A 12-week return-to-exercise screen to ensure your body is ready for activity, prevent injury, and support your fitness goals.

  • Guidance on returning to intimacy postpartum, addressing concerns around pain, discomfort, or emotional readiness.

  • Care at any stage of postpartum life, whether you’re 6 weeks, 6 months, or even 20–30 years postpartum. It’s never too late to address pelvic health concerns such as pain, incontinence, prolapse, or discomfort with sex.

Through personalized, whole-body care, I’ll help you feel strong and supported in this next phase of life—no matter how long it’s been since you gave birth.
